#External APIs - Sending Data as Custom JSON

This video tutorial talks about external APIs that integrate rest API with DrapCode. Using which you can send data to an external datasource by making simple calls.

DrapCode allows you to send custom JSON structures when making external API calls. This gives you full control over the request body format, enabling integration with APIs that require specific nesting, key names, or dynamic values. You can use merge tags and logic to shape the JSON exactly as needed.

When building complex workflows, like those involving the Save as Draft Feature, you can use this custom JSON capability to pass partial or temporary data to external systems. This is especially useful in multi-step forms or approval flows where some data needs to be submitted before finalisation. The ability to customise the outgoing structure ensures compatibility with a wide range of APIs and use cases.
