Displaying Browser Session Records/Items in Data Table

In this video, we will understand how to display the data stored in a browser session in a data table.

In several scenarios, we connect to an external REST API where data is stored externally. Previously the fetched data used to get stored in DrapCode’s database and then it was displayed in components like data table, data group or data list. But now if that API is returning the data in the form of a list or array, you can display that data in the data table without storing it anywhere. Therefore, this feature is really helpful where you can display the data in tabular format by reading it directly from the browser session.

Displaying Browser Session Records/Items in Data Table in DrapCode allows you to store and showcase session-based data dynamically. This feature is beneficial when you need to temporarily hold user interactions, preferences, or selections without persisting them in the database. By utilizing browser sessions, you can track real-time activity and display relevant information within a Data Table. This is particularly useful for applications that require temporary data storage, such as shopping carts, form drafts, or dynamic filters.

With Displaying Browser Session Records/Items in Data Table, users can seamlessly interact with session data without affecting the core database. This improves performance and enhances user experience by providing instant access to temporary records. Additionally, combining this functionality with the Tooltip Component can further enhance usability by offering contextual guidance on session-based data, ensuring users understand the information being displayed.
