Data Ownership & Rights
Last updated: January 10, 2024
Intellectual Property Ownership
The very first thing is that you own your data. This includes the design, text, files, images, photos, video, sounds, musical works, user data, or any other data of your application and the data that your users upload.
What DrapCode owns is the code that runs your application, which is not specific to any web application.
This is similar to any SaaS Platform like a CRM where they own the platform/code/servers but do not own the Data stored by their users on their CRM tool.
You retain ownership of your Data and Content. We have no obligation to store, maintain, or provide you a copy of your Data. You alone are responsible for any of your Data that may be lost or unrecoverable through your use of the Service. You are encouraged to archive your Data regularly and frequently.
Exporting your application & data
We do support of the source code export, so if any point of time you want to move away from the platform, then you can avail the option of the code export at a one time payment, where we provide you the source code of the Web application created on DrapCode, along with the data in the form of database dump and then you are free to host your application to the servers/infrastructure of your choice.
You can then discontinue/cancel your paid subscription plan and don’t have to pay DrapCode while you are not using the services.
Data & Web App Retention
DrapCode reserves the right to delete the web applications which are under non-paying plans or have cancelled their subscription. Such applications are considered stalled and are removed to preserve system resources.
So if you have built any application and don’t plan to use it, then we recommend you take the data dump and keep it with yourself, as we may end up deleting it because of no activity for the continued period of 3 months.
If you will want to continue running your application, preserve the Data and Design/Logic on DrapCode even if there is no activity, then we recommend you to upgrade to a paid plan.
